German electronic culture took center stage in an edition defined by its underground spirit.
Few cities in Spain can claim to host a cultural event like the one that took place in Murcia from April 16 to 25. ATLAS Experience transformed the city into a meeting point for contemporary electronic culture, presenting a program that went far beyond the traditional club format. From April 16 to 25, Murcia hosted a cultural and musical journey focused on the legacy, codes, and social dimension of European electronic music, with Germany and the Berlin scene serving as the conceptual axis of this edition.
Far from being conceived merely as a succession of nightlife events, ATLAS Experience was born with the intention of generating context, reflection, and community around electronic music. It was an ambitious cultural proposal integrating exhibitions, film forums, talks, panel discussions, literary presentations, and musical performances, reclaiming electronic music as a cultural movement with historical, artistic, and social depth.
The opening was marked by the exhibition “Rudel” by photographer Sven Marquardt, a key figure within Berlin’s underground scene and internationally recognized for his connection to Berghain. The exhibition offered an intimate and honest look into the visual and human identity of one of the most influential scenes of recent decades, bringing part of the imagination and sensibility of European club culture to Murcia.
The cultural program also included an exhibition dedicated to Kraftwerk through a carefully curated vinyl collection that traced the legacy of one of the most important projects in shaping the sonic and conceptual language of contemporary electronic music.
Another key moment of the program was the masterclass by Anthony Rother, one of the leading figures in European electro, who shared his perspective on creative processes, the aesthetic evolution of the genre, and the role of technology within electronic music. The program was completed with the presentation of the book “Berlin, Techno and the Fall of the Wall” alongside its author Sven von Thülen, as well as various talks and conversations that expanded the discussion around electronic culture from social, historical, and artistic perspectives. Among them, Audition with Alienata stood out as a format centered on dialogue and the exchange of experiences within the contemporary scene.
At the same time, ATLAS Experience also activated the Molinos del Río terrace with sessions led by local DJs, highlighting the enormous talent within Murcia’s scene and reinforcing the connection between the international programming and the city’s cultural fabric.
The closing event took place on April 25 at Auditorio Thader, a venue chosen precisely for its singular character and distance from conventional formats. The finale brought together Anthony Rother, Dorian Paic, Alienata, and Poolar for a night conceived as a synthesis of the entire cultural journey developed throughout the week, accompanied by a visual proposal created by Haz Media.
Despite unstable weather conditions during parts of the program, the public response was extraordinary. The reception confirmed the existence of a real community interested in experiencing electronic music from a more conscious, cultural, and human perspective. An audience willing to meet, share, and build spaces where electronic music is understood not only as entertainment, but also as a vehicle for connection, reflection, and collective expression.
ATLAS Experience thus closes its first edition in Murcia reaffirming its mission: to build community around electronic music through context, cultural sensitivity, and a contemporary vision capable of connecting disciplines, generations, and scenes.
